I was there for all the "enforcement" drama. My strategy was to present my shoulder--ie, the 3/4 view, as if I was not actually there, nor was able to hear their demands that we leave--as if I was not aware (LOL) that they were addressing me. In the long run, it paid off--Adam eventually came out and touched me--LOL, still dying here!!!! (This was my first ever time standing at a barricade waiting to see an artist.)

I hope we get a video of fever with better audio because that was the best performance so far, IMO. Love the dancing on the stairs at the beginning.

Hi my hoopla friends, I am still so jazzed and so stoked after the 2 OC concerts, even after driving back home the same night to Tahoe, about 8 or 9 hours---THE SHOWS WERE SO AWESOME!!!! I met a lot of great peeps, lots of fans (but no hooplas, sadz--)(lol, damn not having texting and twitter on my phone, oh well) plus I met all the band and Monte's daughter and the dancers (but not Sasha), and saw Roger and Lane and Joan met Cassidy (wow, he was way cuddlier than I expected) AND ADAM!!!!! Adam signed my arm and thanked me when I thanked him for the total awesomeness that was the show on the 28th!!!! He had to HOLD MY ARM to sign it. Still dying here. Seriously. I'm ded. I have an overwhelming impulse to run down to Mush's and get it permanently tattooed on me before it washes off...but no, I don't think I'm THAT crazed...well I am, but no...ARGH!!! Silly, but I confess to kissing my own skin where Adam touched it. Yes. And would do it again. (~bends and kisses it)

AN INCREDIBLY LATE/TL;DR RECAP OF THE TUESDAY CONCERT BECAUSE I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO POST AND OMG STILL KIND OF FLAILING:

Basically, he's awesome in the Eddie-Izzard-approved-not-referring-to-hot-dogs-but-actually-to-something-that-inspires-awe sense of the word. The amount of energy and feeling he puts into every song is crazy--it's like while he's singing it, he totally believes and means every word of that song and that's why each version always comes out differently.

Favorites were probably Down the Rabbit Hole (I just love the song and it seems like a pretty good summation of what Adam's about, lol), Fever (maybe his need to get laid made the song even hotter than usual? I don't even mean the Adam/Tommy antics, just the way he sang it), Sleepwalker (OMG HIS VOICE and wow, so much anger and intensity +I liked random faceless civil war-era guy on the screen), Soaked (that a capella section--like, I literally closed my eyes and started swaying/swooning, his voice was so beautiful), IIHY (you can tell he just loves performing that song so much and it's actually so good live), and WLL (for obvious reasons, the reasons being sex + voice).

Other incoherent thoughts: Adam is beautiful. Like aside from personality and charisma and all that other stuff that makes someone attractive, he's so pretty--his face is gorgeous. Also, he's so slim and I just wanted to grab his hips and bite his thighs. Or preferably watch a pretty boy do that in a universe in which that would not be super creepy. And it's ridiculous for me to feel ~proud of someone I don't actually know, but just thinking of being so dedicated to music your whole life and trying to make it in LA for years and then you suddenly go from being an understudy to performing for thousands of people with your family and friends watching you--I'm just really happy for him.

The crowd was so into it, and really diverse. I hate that attitude you sometimes see that as a girl you’re supposed to stop going to concerts once you turn 40, but it does make sense for artists in the real world to have diverse fan bases, and seeing a crowd with tons of people my age in it in addition to older fans was awesome. Boys, girls, young, old, couples, groups of friends, everyone was there. I sat next to this girl wearing really cool glasses and we bonded over the unexpectedness of being people who had never watched American Idol and just randomly stumbled across Adam, there were two adorable little kids in front of me who stood on their seats and waved glow sticks the whole concert, an older woman behind me wearing like a femme fatale lace veil, my row was filled with all these crazy blonde girls who were dancing and shimmying before the concert even started, there was a whole bunch of boys and girls in front of me wearing fantastic makeup and glitter in their hair and high heels, there were two guys wearing matching tie-dyed For Your Entertainment shirts and a bunch of other girls took pictures with them, etc. Just so fun.

But seriously, his voice--I don't even know how to describe it and I'll probably sound so ridiculously corny if I try, but idk, it's like moonshine and electricity mixed together, just so beautiful and clear and powerful and hearing that live is unbelievable. He's gorgeous and adorable and there's obviously a lot of other awesomeness about him but the stan thing is definitely because of his voice and what he does with it. And also--other people have said this much more eloquently, but I’ve never seen a performer with his combination of sensuality/sexuality and sheer sweetness and joy in music and performing. It’s so amazing to experience live.
